About Us
The National Association of Adventist Healthcare Human Resources (NAAHHR) was created to bring together HR leaders from across Adventist healthcare organizations.
Our Annual Conference, along with other healthcare and HR industry gatherings, provides the opportunity for us to collaborate and network with one another. This website offers an additional resource for sharing valuable news and updates on tools, technologies, vendors and more.

This Year’s Conference

September 20-21, 2019
Each year, our Annual Conference brings us together for the many blessings of fellowship with other NAAHHR members from across the United States. Attendees also have the opportunity to hear from educational and inspirational speakers of all kinds, on a variety of topics relevant to our work. Conference Scholarships of up to $1,000 each are available for HR professionals identified as emerging leaders or based on financial need who benefit from meeting new people and learning new things.

2015 NAAHHR Board Members

President: Nathan Lindsey
Nathan Lindsey is the Director of Human Performance at Adventist Health Tillamook located in Tillamook, Oregon. He has worked in a variety of healthcare roles (US & International) since 2004 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Southern Adventist University and Master’s Degree in Public Health from Loma Linda University. Nathan loves spending time with his wife Amy, hanging out with friends/family, basketball, volleyball and the great outdoors.

Vice President: Donna Johnson Scott
Donna Johnson Scott is the Executive Director of Human Resources for Adventist Health Care Washington Adventist Hospital (WAH). Donna is in her 11th year with AHC and in her current role since 2016. Donna has an undergraduate degree in HealthCare Administration from the University of Maryland. She loves lacing up her running shoes for a peaceful morning jog and spending time with her three adult children.

Secretary/Treasurer: Kevin Spaulding
Kevin Spaulding is the Director of Respiratory Therapy, Human Resources, Laboratory, the Sleep Center and the Wound Center at Fort Hamilton Hospital which is part of Kettering Health Network in Ohio. He has nearly 10 years’ experience in Adventist hospital Human Resources between Adventist Health and Kettering Health Network. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Adventist University and a Masters of Business Administration from La Sierra University. In his free time Kevin enjoys playing ice hockey, woodworking and spending time with his wife and daughter as well as their two dogs.

Recent Conference
Highlights
2018 – Pittsburgh
Speakers included: Kate Vonderhaar (The Advisory Board Company) on Stopping Millennial Staff Turnover; Don Russell (AMITA Health) on Culture Lessons Learned through Mergers and Acquisitions; Ron Price gave us an early copy of his book “Growing Influence” and also went over Leadership Talent, Skills and Strength. Saturday activities included a narrated city tour with a ride down the Duquesne Incline and lunch about the Gateway Clipper Queen. Saturday night dinner was amazing as always.
2017 – Seattle
Speakers included: Jeremy Robinson, Barbara Yoli David, and Joel Bishop (Great Work). We also had an internal panel discussion on Change that was quite intriguing. Saturday activities included a tour of Seattle with the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. Afterwards we took a boat to Tillicum Village and enjoyed lunch and a show. Our evening meal together overlooked the ocean.
